Tip on choosing shape of a waistcoat

I have had a long waistcoat before, but never wore it as it would visually cut my body in half. So when I spotted this one I knew it will work as it has an upside down V. It’s like a half tuck build in. Also the original waistcoat had brownish buttons which would limit outfit options,  so as per usual I have changed buttons, so they match the fabric colour. Don’t be scared to adapt clothes to fit your needs.

Mixing textures. Satin silky skirt with knit fringed top. Both in cool tones. With statement necklace being the centrepiece. As I’m drawn to the same colours over time my wardrobe becames more cohesive.
